Club Information

Established in 1928, the New Brighton Athletics Club exists to provide the opportunity for people of all backgrounds and abilities from age five and under right through to veterans to participate in all the major athletic disciplines.

In summer we operate Track and Field and in Winter we hold Cross Country and Road racing. We provide these opportunities through coaching and club sessions and participation in interclub and national competitions.

Our natural catchment area extends through most of the eastern suburbs of Christchurch up to about Brooklands and Spencerville. We are bounded by Kaiapoi Club to the North, Sumner and Port Hills Clubs to the south and the city clubs to the west.

We welcome athletes of all abilities and backgrounds to a family-oriented club where parent involvement is vital and treasured. The Club is committed to the provision of safe social and competitive opportunities for all members. It aims to provide all members with fair competition and access to high standard Club facilities. It seeks to attain excellence in its administration and in the provision of coaching and competitive results while always striving to ultimately provide for Long Term Athlete Development.

From our track and gym facilities at Keyes Road, We provide top coaching and support to our athletes for minimal or no charge.
