Some important notes:
Classification
Functional classifications assessments will take place in Dunedin on Thursday 24th March 2011 for those who require assessment (does not include visual or intellectual classifications).
AWD must have a registered (provisional, national or international) classification with Paralympics New Zealand prior to submitting your entries (please contact me if you don’t have a classification).
Events
Athletes may only enter events that are within their classification.
The qualifying period is 1st May 2010 – 14th March 2011. Entries close on Sunday 13th March 2011 (late entries 15th March 2011).
Intellectual Disabilities
T20 / F20 classifications are for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
The T20 / F20 events that have been included in this years programme are: 100m, 200m, 800m, 1500m, Shot Put, Discus, Long Jump (both Men’s and Women’s).
Please note: The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) currently recognises only the 1500m, Shot Put and Long Jump on the Paralympic Programme.
