The Athletics New Zealand Road Championships 2006 will take place in Christchurch. Landfill Avenue in Bottle Lake Forest Park is the venue for the championships. It is about 3km north of QEII Park in Christchurch . Landfill Avenue is used by refuse trucks Monday-Saturday, but will be closed to traffic on 2 September. The Technical Meeting and Prize-giving Function will be held at Parklands Tavern, which is on the corner of Mairehau Rd and Inwoods Rd in Parklands - about half-way between Bottle Lake Forest Park and QEII Park.
