   Nathan "Guns" Baxter triumphs in the 2009 Otago XC Senior Men's Champs held at Waikouaiti in Sat 11 July.

Nathan Baxter of Ariki won the 2009 Athletics Otago Cross Country Championships at Waikouaiti on Saturday.  Oliver O'Sullivan (Hill City) was second and Callan Moody (Ariki) third. The team of Baxter, Moody, Thompson and List won the WI Hooper Trophy for first four man team.

Hill City's Shireen Crumpton won the Senior Women's title from Rachel Kingsford (Hill City) and Paula Whitting (Hill City) to help Hill City take out the team's title as well.
