Stage 1 of the Home of Throws at Pulman Park

Athletics New Zealand are excited to announce that Stage 1 of the Home of Throws project at Pulman Park is nearing completion. The Home of Throws will be a throwing area at Pulman Park in South Auckland designed to cater to the needs of anyone wanting to get into throwing. Stage 1 is currently setup for Discus, Hammer and Shot Put with the hope of including Javelin soon. There will also be access to a track and gym for specific and cross training.

This facility will create opportunities for anyone wanting to try throwing and help to support specific programmes like #TLAG. If you would like to enquire about the Home of Throws, please contact Tim Driesen (tim@athletics.org.nz)

The proposed Stage 2 of this facility is to build an indoor/outdoor all weather throwing and training facility catering to the needs of all throwers from starting out, emerging and high performance para and able body throwers.

Athletics NZ would like to thank everyone involved with helping the project get to where it is now.
