In our new blog series, we are going to be following five athletes on the Road to Rio.
We'll be hearing a weekly blog from one of four athletes aiming for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and one with their eyes firmly fixed on the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Tom Walsh (shot put), Portia Bing (heptathlon), Cameron French (400m hurdles) and Angie Petty (800m), along with Anna Grimaldi (Para long jump & sprints) will feature as we follow their successes, frustrations, excitement and disappointments along the way to the biggest events of their careers.
First up is Tom Walsh, who not long ago was competing in the red hot atmosphere of the Beijing Birds Nest stadium, finishing fourth in the World Championships. Tom had an amazing year in 2015 and he reflects on why it went so well and shares with us what he's been up to since he got home. He also looks ahead to the summer season in New Zealand.
