In our new blog series, we are going to be following five athletes on the Road to Rio.
We'll be hearing a weekly blog from one of four athletes aiming for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and one with their eyes firmly fixed on the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Tom Walsh (shot put), Portia Bing (heptathlon), Cameron French (400m hurdles) and Angie Petty (800m), along with Anna Grimaldi (Para long jump & sprints) will feature as we follow their successes, frustrations, excitement and disappointments along the way to the biggest events of their careers.
This week it's Portia Bing, who got a top 16 finish in the heptathlon at the World Championships in Beijing. Portia has had a big year in 2015 proving she can foot it with the best in the world and she shares with us her reflections on the year and her immediate plans for the summer.
