Athletics New Zealand has announced the initial selections for the IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha, Qatar.
The two selections for the October championships are subject to the IPC allocation of slots for the event.
The Otago-based athletes announced today are javelin thrower Holly Robinson (F46 classification) and long jumper Anna Grimaldi (T47). Both have both achieved the IPC and Athletics New Zealand A selection standards.
Robinson finished second in her category (F46 javelin) at the 2013 IPC World championships in Lyon, and improved her New Zealand record to 37.88 at the national championships in March. It will be Grimaldi's first World Championship event.
The next team selection announcement for the championships will be published on 4 September.
