Four times national champion, Sarah Crowley, qualified for her first Olympics after an astounding meet in Gotzis, Austria in May this year where she achieved four personal bests and scored 6135 points eclipsing the Olympic standard of 6050 points. Such a string of personal bests in one meet suggest that the Melbourne Commonwealth Games representative is in fine form heading into London.

Sarah has not always been a heptathlete however. Prior to 2005 she was a high jumper and represented New Zealand in that event at the World University Games. She even sits at number 2 on the New Zealand all time list for high jump with a jump of 1.91m. Sarah is currently ranked 34th in the world on the IAAF standings this year leading into the Games and 2nd on the New Zealand all time heptathlon rankings list. Sarah will be pushing to make a name for herself in London and to chase down the New Zealand record.
