Team Captain for the NZ Oceania Championships last year, Louise brings great experience and depth to the 4 x 400m relay team. Born in Wales, Louise moved to New Zealand when she was 9 and showed her sprinting talent at an early age when she set a New Zealand aged 14 record for the women’s 400m, running 55.60. Winning the NZ National Champs in style in 2014, Louise then topped off her stellar season by setting a new personal best of 53.29 weeks later when she placed 4th at the 2014 Australian National Championships.

  • Silver Oceania Championships 2013
  • 2001 World Youth Championships

The Women’s 4 x 400m squad is the first athletics relay team selected for a major Championship since the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in 2006. The team ran the qualifying time at a special attempt in Hamilton over Easter 2014 and did it in style with a time of 3:35.60.
