good sports spine - operating in a 'climate of development'

As a coach, you are one of the greatest influences a child may have. For better or worse, you have the ability to shape a child's experience in sport, and consequently affect whether a child may grow to have a lifelong love of sport, or not. It is an absolute privilege to be part that journey.

Read more about the climate you can create to maximise the enjoyment of our sport here

Athletics NZ have adopted this framework into the relaunched Run Jump Throw programme, which you can read about here, and as a sport we firmly believe in establishing athlete-centered environments which operate within the Climate of Development across our whole Sport - even at the High performance level!

Good Sports have compiled a great range of resources and host workshops to up skill parents, coaches and coach developers which you can read more about here
