We’ve packaged New Zealand’s most significant National Championships events, giving them a more consistent look and feel with the goal of a high quality experience for all involved. The Aurora Series currently consists of Athletics New Zealand’s four largest championships - Track and Field, Cross  Country, Road and Road Relays.
New Zealanders are succeeding on the world stage across the spectrum of competitions - Youth, Junior, Senior and Masters. For virtually all of them, it started at an Athletics New Zealand National Championships – where we have traditionally first found our brightest stars.
The name comes from the Aurora Australis (Southern Lights). Anyone who has been lucky enough to see them knows they are something special. The logo features a dynamic flame device emblazoned with the stars of the Southern Cross and has been developed to complement the Athletics New Zealand identity.
The next Aurora Series Event is the 2012 National Track and Field Championships, from 23-25 March at the Trusts Stadium, Waitakere. More information on the Aurora Series is available at www.auroraseries.co.nz.
