Zane Robertson clocks 3m 36.53s 1500m at Stanford

Zane Robertson followed up his recent sub four minute mile with a fast 1500m at the Payton Jordan Invitational meeting at Stanford California.
Robertson became the eighth fastest New Zealander over the distance in finishing third in 3m 36.53s, just 1.03s outside posting a qualifying time for the London Olympic Games.
Andy Baddeley of Britain, who has raced in New Zealand, won the race in 3m 35.19s.
Nick Willis finished tenth in the 5000m in 13m 29.56s, two seconds outside his personal best set in Sacramento in 2005. Zane's twin brother Jake started in the 5000m but did not finish.
Fiona Crombie won the third division of the women's 3000m steeplechase in 10m 8.36s. Leonora Petrina (nee Joy) was fourth in the same race in 10m 24.43s.
Adrian Blincoe did not finish the invitational 10,000m.
