Editorial Comment

Welcome to the March edition of Athletics in Action – the first edition of 2012.

Athletics NZ is holding its 125th Anniversary Dinner at the Athletics NZ National Track and Field Champs in Auckland next month - look for details in this edition.

A total of nine athletes feature in this edition.  Liz Lamb cleared 1.90m in the high jump recently, middle distance runner Brad Mathas has set himself some tough long term goals, while Camille Buscomb is running well over the mile and 1500m. The others are Malcolm Hicks, Hamish Carson, Fiona Morrison, Angie Smit, Kara MacDermid, Julian Oakley, Tom Walsh and Sally Gibbs.

Look out for a special offer - the 2 for 1 2XU Compression Sock Offer.

The Coaching Profile is on Wanganui’s Alec McNab, who gives us an insight to his coaching philosophy.
We also take a run in New Plymouth’s Pukekura Park with Karen Gillum-Green in GREAT training runs in New Zealand.
