Welcome to the November edition of Athletics in Action.

This issue features Athletics NZ’s exciting new product, a dynamic new children's programme called Get Set Go.

There is also action from three Athletics NZ Championships – the National Half Marathon Champs and the Long Distance Race Walking Champs, which were both held last weekend, and the Road Relay Champs, which were held in September.

On the international front there is an interview with Jake Robertson, who ran in the 5000m at the IAAF World Champs. There’s also an interview with Greer Alsop, who won the Triple Jump Silver Medal at the Commonwealth Youth Games.

Don’t forget to watch out for Kim Smith in the New York Marathon - there is live coverage of the race on SKY TV

GREAT Training Runs in NZ features National Park’s Tongariro Crossing with Callum Harland. If you'd like to have your favourite training run featured in an upcoming issue, please contact the editor at the email address below.

This issue’s coaching profile is on Manawatu based coach George McConachy.
