Welcome to this edition of Athletics in Action.

This issue features action from the recent NZ Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships. Declan Wilson who won the senior boys race by 11 seconds is featured.

Twenty four athletes have been named by Athletics New Zealand's selectors to compete at the 2010 World Junior Championships in Canada next month. In this edition there are interviews with two of these athletes, discus thrower Leesa Lealaisalanoa and distance runner Aaron Pulford. There's also action from the recent NZ Half Marathon Champs and the Rotorua Marathon in the form of interviews with the two women winners, Maria Bentley and Johanna Ottosson.

GREAT Training Runs in NZ features "The McGoun Loop" with 2009 Mountain Running Champ Shireen Crumpton. The edition's coaching profile is on Didier Poppe, coach of Valerie Villi and Jacko Gill.
