Welcome to this edition of Athletics in Action.

This issue features a preview of the Trans Tasman TT21 test match. There's also action from the recent Combined Events Champs, the Classic Series and the Colgate Games.

We introduce a new series of articles called "GREAT Training Runs in NZ". If you'd like to have your favourite training run featured in an upcoming issue please contact the editor at the email address below.

The coaching profile is on Val Bromley, while Steve Hollings has written an article on article Commonwealth Rankings.

Wellington Round the Bays is on Sunday 21 February – that's this weekend. Athletics NZ now has a relationship with this event, so there's a discount of $5 on your entry fee if you are taking part in the half marathon.
