Athletics New Zealand Team manager positions announced

John Tylden of Hamilton will manage the New Zealand track and field team to the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi in October next year.
Tylden, a key player in New Zealand secondary schools track and field championships and a mid to long distance running coach, was head athletics coach at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria Canada and head coach at the world championships in Sweden in 1995.

Martin MacDonald of Wellington has been appointed team manager of the New Zealand team to the world cross country championships in Bydgoszcz Poland on 28 March next year. MacDonald, the New Zealand junior cross country champion in 1984, was the chair of the local organising committee for the world mountain running trophy in Wellington in 2005.

Karen Forbes-Henry of Christchurch will manage the New Zealand team to the world junior athletic championships in Moncton Canada in July next year. Forbes-Henry, the New Zealand heptathlon champion in 1984, was a team coach to the world junior championships in Chile in 2000.
